Granite and Hidden Lakes

This hike starts on the east side of Silver Lake, a couple of miles off highway 88. Take the turn off for Kit Carson Lodge, and continue past the lodge to the end of the dirt road. It is one of the easier hikes, and is a nice day trip for guests to the area. Midway through the hike, the trail crosses a wooden bridge. Be sure to take the time to go down stream to view the water fall. Once at Granite Lake, the trail continues on to Hidden Lake. This is a fairly flat trail which is mostly shaded by the surrounding forest.
